I had an absolutely delightful experience dining at MERCADO! The ambiance was nice, and the service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our meal. As for the food, it was outstanding! The lobster tacos were incredibly flavorful, and the carnita nachos were a perfect balance of crispy & tender. I can't stop thinking about those lobster tacos! Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and I look forward to returning soon! Did I mention ? their music choice was awesome as well Perfect place for a date night or a girls night out

We had an amazing dinner for our friend's birthday (party of 8)! The guacamole and queso were very tasty; everyone devoured them along with the chips! It was hard to choose a meal as so many entrees sounded amazing. I chose the carnitas and was not disappointed :) Everyone loved their meals along with their cocktails (amazing margaritas!)... And dessert, well we ordered three of them to share, and everyone was delighted! The staff were very friendly, the ambiance was inviting, and the decor is fun and lively. Lastly, the bathrooms were nice and clean. We'll definitely be back!!

This restaurant is truly captivating. Each dish is bursting with flavors. We began with the mushroom choriqueso, a soulful delight that we couldn't resist ordering a second time. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, and the tacos were described by our group as 'fresh, exquisite, one of a kind.' The flan is a standout - once you've tried it, other places will disappoint, making you crave a return to Mercado's. The servers are both professional and knowledgeable, and the restaurant exudes a classy yet casual vibe with a touch of modern and cool decor. I'll keep returning because every bite here makes my soul dance.

What can I say about it this fabulous restaurant that I'm sure many others haven't already said?!! I've been a few times and the food is always fresh and delicious. However, considering these are the same owners as Yxta, I can't imagine the food being anything less than stellar. I am now hooked on the lobster tacos and this is the main reason I come, although they have many other great dishes as well as great drinks. Service varies (sometimes when it's less busy we've actually felt like the severs forgot us-which is ironic) but when you get a good server, you get a great server! Would recommend it regardless but make sure for busier nights you get a reservation. There is a little bit of street parking depending on time/day you come but they do offer valet. Ambiance is good. Again, sometimes it's crowded and sometimes pretty chill. Do yourself a favor and pop over there for some lobster tacos and one of their signature margaritas!

I love mercado and I have not been to this location in a few years. The cucumber margs (their best selling drink apparently) were good but had a lot of ice in them. It was rather dark inside and very quiet for 5pm on a Thursday. The mood didn't really seem to fit what they were going for, but that's my only complaint The queso is just as good as I remember, and I remember it fondly. The mushrooms give it an umami profile that isn't overwhelming, and it doesn't congeal together after 5 minutes like lesser queso at other places. The guac is delicious too, almost smoky but still zesty with big pumpkin(?) seeds I tried the ahi tacos this time around, and was super happy with my selection. The fish was so fresh, on a delicate tortilla. I added some of their spicy side of corn that gave the tacos a nice little kick. Some of my friends complained that the corn was too spicy but I thought it was perfect. The pair of tacos weren't super filling, but that's okay because I was devouring more than enough cheese for my entire party. I was about to give this place four stars until I remembered the cauliflower. I'm not a big cauliflower girl, even when it was super trendy a couple years ago. But wow this cauliflower was the best cauliflower I've ever had. Smoky, still crisp, cooked perfectly. I thought two of my girlfriends were crazy for ordering it as their main meal, but I would honestly do the same next time around.a long with the queso of course. I will be thinking of them both fondly now

Yooooo this place f*cks!! I wandered in because it's 0.4 miles from my house and I had a friend in town. We were looking for something small so we ordered the guacamole and a set of 2 tacos each. I had the jicama ahi tacos and she had the gringas. The guacamole is probably the best I've had in SoCal by far. They added enough onion to balance out the sour of the lime and tomato. I could've ordered another one it was so tasty. The ahi tacos were presented beautifully, like a work of art. And the flavor profile was unmatched by any Mexican type restaurant I've had the pleasure of trying in LA. I just love it when you eat something and you can taste the blend of ingredients as a new flavor rather than tasting all of the individual ingredients. Our server Matt was very helpful in navigating the menu. One warning I must give is the chefs will let you take things away from the items but they don't really allow substitutions. I appreciate an artist that wants you to experience their art the way it was intended. The tables are close to each other so you may make a new friend but this place is def not stuffy at all. Kudos friends.
